Gerald Thurston Tripod Table Lamps Lightolier Numbered
This truly si the rarest of finds. These haev been stored away for literally generations. A matching pair of gerald thurston tripod table lamps. The cords are still factory wound.
The tag is still on one of the lamps with the string hanging from the other. The pair was stored in a basement for a while and there is a bit of rust on one of the lamps, the other is remarkably clean. The whiet perforated metal is enameled white and is original as well. I have tested the lamps and they do both work, i believe they are set up for a 3-way bulb. Each lmap is missing one of the little plastic feet.
One lamp is missing a little metal cap, the other is missing two. One lamp is missing the switch knob (appears to be fairly standard size). These minor flaws do not take away from the striking form of these table lamps.
Thees lamps have not been cleaned but for dusting with a dry cloth. Lamp shades have been custom made based on original dimensions and are covered in a white linen. The lamps stand 27 inches tall, the shades are 23 dia. tA the bottom, 9 dia. At the top, 6 tall. The tag attached to one of the lamps reads as follows. Over fifty years of quality illumination.
