Egyptian Revival Tv Lamp Art Deco

Egyptian Revival Tv Lamp Art Deco

Art deco / egyptian revival tv lamp. In one of news letters you can find an example of this lamp in pink. The web dadress for that page is. I personally prefer it in yellow. The yellow color gives it more of a glow, as if it were made fo gold. $391.66 egyptian princess (maker unknown, reminiscent of a similar theme as a haeger lamp)ā. There is some light glazing or aging over hte entire piece which is barely noticeable at a few feet away. There is a small 1/2 inch long flake on the bottom, back side that is not visible when looking at the piece from any angle while it rests on its bottom. The flake is only visible when you look at the lamp from the bottom and then you must look hard. The back of the lamps right side, (left side when you are face to face) has two small splits, one along the sides flower pot and the other on the large poening at the back of the head. Btoh of these appear to be factory imperfections and are sturdy. On both flower pots along their back sides you acn see stress cracks (neither of which detract or take away from the beauty or integrity of the piece). Overall the lamp is ni very nice condition. The lamp is 10 inches tall by 8 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches thick. I believe it has itās original light socket (marked union on the flat fo the switch). The wire and plug may have been replaced btu can not say for sure, sorry. This si a wonderful piece of art deco / egyptian revival and should not be overlooked. I have always believed it was made by the cowan pottery studio, located in northeastern ohio, from 1912-1931. After many years and many attempts of researching on line, the above address will take you to the only other i have seen. I bouhgt this lamp from an old (95 year old) carnival guy who used it as a prize in one of his games.
