Antique Mission Oak Arts Crafts Lamp W Slag Glass
1910's mission oak slag glass lamp. We will be offering in the next weeks an assortment of collectibles.
Here is a wonderful mission era arts & crafts oak slag glass table lamp for your consideration. Beautiful original oak and slag glass lamp. The oak lamp base and shaed frame have a uniform patina from age and match perfectly. The 4 slag glass panes are original to the lamp and have a beautiful carmel marble veining, the nicest i have seen.The lamp has a nice overall height at 21 tall, the shade is 13.5 x 13.5 square and 7.5 tall, the base is 6.5 square. The shade also has 4 smaller rectangular panels that are on the 1.5 wide vertical side sections. The lamp has it's original wiring, which should be replaced (the cord has been taped near the plug). The original oscket is still is a best electrical co. Socket and is marked as pat.
It is teh paddle type switch. And the patent for this socket was taken out in 1912. Thsi lamp weighs 7 lbs. And will probably weigh about 12 lbs. When packed and double boxed. With no cracks or shown in my gallery photos. One of the agnular supports for the shade has been glue repaired at some point. Also there is a small spot on the bottom edge fo one side of the upper lamp frame that has a bulb burn mark from where it rested on another bulb.
