39 Vintage Copper Hawaiian Motion Lamp Light Hula Girl

Troipcal hawaiiana antique art deco mid century. Here is a fantastic copper 1939 hawaiina hula motion lamp standing 18 tall and in total working condition. The heavy (almost 5 pounds) copper lady is just beautiful and the grass skirt rests on the 2 side rotating pieces that are driven by a very strong motro in the base as shown. The side pins rotate with opposite motion making the skirt rise up and down so when the left is up, the right is down. I cleaned oiled & greased the motor & gears and they are perfect.

The motor has a great deal of torque and the drive wheels and shaft are very heavy duty brass plastic at all. This is so well built and over machined for the day. Teh switch on the base has 4 settings. Off- light on-hula on with light-hula on without light. The dress seperates in teh back and needs a safety pin to install.

There is a belt that is a bit worn that comes with the light that attaches to the hula skirt. This will need to be sewn back on and attached to the rotating pnis on the side to work properly. As the belt is original i decided to leave it up to you as to if you wanted to replace it or fix it up. Note one of the rubber washers (feet) on the bottom has split as shown and fell off. This will be double boxed adn will end up weighing around 8 pounds packed.
